Quarter tends to get all the love, but it\u2019s actually better to stay slightly outside of this area especially, for a good night\u2019s sleep.\u00a0\u00a0There are plenty of options including Canal Street which borders the French Quarter, the Warehouse District or Business District.\u00a0\u00a0Only a few minutes away by foot, or with a trolley, you can be in the heart of the madness in no time at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First let\u2019s chat about getting to the downtown core from the airport.&nbsp;&nbsp;Once you arrive at MSY, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, make your way toward ground transportation.&nbsp;&nbsp;Grab a taxi as there is a set fee\/flat rate of $36.00 USD from the airport to your hotel downtown, which will take approximately one hour depending on traffic.&nbsp;&nbsp;Take this time and cost into consideration when planning your trip.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are considering Canal Street \u2013 the Champs d\u2019Elysee and Fifth Avenue of NOLA &#8211; then I recommend the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marriott.com\/hotels\/travel\/msyis-sheraton-new-orleans-hotel\/\">Sheraton New Orleans Hotel<\/a>.
